It has been ten months, ever since I left my old company. What memories I shared with them it’s beyond my imagination. Before joining this new company, I worked at Athflex, a start-up that focuses on gym wear products and is based in Ahmedabad, and I was a part of their team as a freelance video editor. Needless to say, it was a WFH (work-from-home) job. The stipend in 4 figures I got each month was fair enough for basic needs and wants. There were frequent visits to the office, once a month, to brief up on the edits I made and the next plan after this. I never worked as an intern or a part-time employee, Athflex allowed me to build a root in my portfolio. There were many memories like games, those talks, those endless conversations about cameras and social media, memes sharing, birthday celebrations, and whatnot. Being a part of their team was exhilarating, although there comes a time when you’ve gained enough skill and experience to elevate yourself to a greater level. I’ve not visited their office since January, as my expedition for better job opportunities was ongoing. Fortunately, I found one that I can’t reveal yet. That night, after receiving an offer letter, I e-mailed my boss, saying goodbye to him with complete happiness, to tell him how grateful I was to be a part of his team and start my career with them. After hitting the ‘send’ button, I’m ready to finally meet my new boss and office, so from here onward starts the journey of Socal Media.
